Law Department of HMC acts as primary interface for all legal issues. The cases are filed in either lower courts or in High court. HMC does not have a tribunal to resolve disputes.The Department maintains court case related documents, communications related to court cases and any other legal issues. They are primarily responsible for all coordination required for court cases and execution of court orders. HMC has a panel of lawyers which is approved by municipal board. A lawyer from the panel can be assigned the case.
